nothing bothers me more than when I see posts that say “I want a boyfriend (or girlfriend)” because I promise you, you don’t. it may start out all cute and nice, but it never stays that way, no matter how much you think it will. relationships are difficult, time consuming, and overall messy. they either end in disaster or marriage, both of which seem like losing situations. I just wish people could be content in their lives, content with themselves, I promise that you are going to be your best friend, you will learn to love yourself and you will learn to be happy living alone, or not dating, or just hanging out with friends. I definitely still love my ex, but I wish I could explain how liberated I felt when we were finally done for good, it’s like I got my life back and could breathe again, and I love that each day I continue to have that feeling, because it’s better than any feeling any man/boy has ever given to me. learn to love yourself please, because it is so worth it.
